It is that time of an IPL season when the table begins to bunch up, momentum swings sharply, and every result carries added weight. Gujarat Titans appear to be timing their surge well, with two wins on the trot, including a statement home victory over the in-form Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Their next test comes against table-toppers Punjab Kings, who will be keen to bounce back after their first defeat of the season.
GT's recent upswing has been underpinned as much by balance as by results. The inclusion of Jason Holder has given them a more rounded look, plugging gaps with both bat and ball while allowing their primary bowlers clearer roles. That clarity was evident against RCB, where they were disciplined with the ball and largely clinical in the chase, despite a few setbacks, never allowing the game to drift.
Their batting, however, remains top-heavy, with the top three driving most of the output through a measured but assertive approach.
